A major change was to the available V8 engines. The standard 290 cu in (4.8 L) V8 was replaced for 1970 by a new 304 cu in (5.0 L) 210 hp (157 kW; 213 PS) while the 343 cu in (5.6 L) was also supplanted by a 360 cu in (5.9 L). As far as movie recording is concerned, the Rebel T8i can record in Full HD at up to 60 fps, or 4K UHD resolution at up to 25 fps. There's also a detailed set-up for time-lapse movies and automatic scene selection. To counteract the ‘jittery shake’ associated with handheld movie shooting, the Rebel T8i features 5-Axis Movie Digital IS, for smooth, controlled video capture.
