We recommend using Renovo Fabric Soft Top Cleaneraccording to the ‘severely soiled’ instructions on the bottle to thoroughly clean your convertible top prior to applying Soft Top Reviver. It is important to ensure that the fabric is free of grease, dirt and any previous waterproof coatings before using Soft Top Reviver. The above image shows the roof before cleaning (on the left) and after one coat of Soft Top Reviver had dried (on the right).

Renovo Hood Reviver is the ultimate product to make old, faded, fabric convertible tops, RV and boat covers look like new. A permanent, water based dye that may be applied with either a nylon paint brush, sponge, disposable foam brush or air brush and dries in 2-3 hours. Badly faded tops may require a second coat. But I decided to give Renovo a try. The result is truly stunning the roof looks new. The process is a complete renovation, all stains are removed with the cleaning solution which I applied and left on to do its work for the maximum recommended time [about an hour].Start your vacuuming job by pulling out the floor mats. Shake out the mats to remove any loose dirt. Use a 4" upholstery attachment or the bare hose end to vigorously vacuum the mats. The more you're able to agitate the carpet, the cleaner you'll get it. Ensure that the soft top is dry and free from grease, dirt and previous waterproof coatings by thoroughly cleaning with Renovo Fabric Soft Top Cleaner before commencing application. This unique and innovative formula is simple to apply and gives unbelievable results - even when the fabric soft top is severely faded on your new or classic car. Immediately remove any drips on paint, glass or trim with a wet cloth. If the top is badly faded, apply a second coat after 24 hours drying time. Allow the final coat of Reviver to dry for 24 hours and then follow with a coat or two of Renovo Fabric Ultra Proofer to protect and prolong the life of your new looking top.

Depending on the condition of the top a litre of Reviver is usually sufficient for two coats on an average size soft top. It is important to allow Reviver to dry between coats. Always ensure that you have enough Reviver to coat the soft top completely and that you will not run out half way through application! Renovo is a company that has been around for some time and is well known in Europe particularly among convertible classic car owners – those with the oldest and most worn tops. It wasn’t until recently however that their products have become available to the North American market too.
